With the global promotion of Chinese,there are endless Chinese textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and there are more and more researches on the applicability of textbooks,which play an important role in promoting the development of textbooks and improving the teaching effect.On the basis of the research on the theory of second language acquisition and the applicability of teaching materials,this paper takes the Chinese for Communication of Higher Education Edition as the research object and combines its own teaching practice to explore the applicability of the textbook in Surin Vocational College from two aspects: the textbook itself and the user.The thesis includes six parts: the first part is the introduction,which sorts out the current research status,and discusses the background,significance,research content and methods of the topic.The second part introduces the basic situation of Chinese teaching in Thailand vocational schools and Surin Vocational College.The third part is the analysis of the compilation and structure of the Chinese for Communication.The fourth part firstly analyzes the applicability of the text of the Chinese for Communication from six aspects: phonetics,vocabulary,grammar,text,practice,and culture.On the whole,the Chinese for Communication itself conforms to the general rules of the compilation of TCSL textbooks,but there are also some unreasonable places to be improved.Then,the paper analyzes the application of the teaching materials from the perspective of students and teachers,and finds that the Chinese for Communication has a high degree of fit and applicability with the users in the process of use in the college.The fifth part is suggestions for the compilation and use of the textbook,such as improving the knowledge of the phonetic system,reducing super-class words,increasing the teaching of cultural content,summarizing the grammar rules,increasing grammar training,and increasing interesting teaching.The sixth part is the conclusion,which points out the shortcomings of the thesis,and looks forward to compiling more applicable textbooks for TCSL.In the study of the applicability of the textbook Chinese for Communication,the author takes surin vocational college as the object,but the conclusion is derived from investigation and interview,and after rigorous theoretical analysis,it is of great reference value and practical significance for the compilation,selection and teaching of Chinese textbooks in Surin province and throughout Thailand.
