Research On Cao Wei's Official Script

The period of cao wei dynasty was a key period for the transformation from ancient calligraphy to modern calligraphy.As the source of modern style calligraphy,Lishu also completed a qualitative change in this period: from ancient quality to modern Yan.The official script of the Cao Wei Dynasty has a large number,various styles and a wide range of subjects.There are not only inscriptions and official script of great Huang system,but also vivid and interesting folk inscriptions.The main representative styles can be divided into the ancient style represented by shangzunhao monument,Shouchan Monument and kongshen monument,which is neat and dignified,and the gorgeous and elegant style represented by caozhen monument,normal model Monument and Wangji monument,which is cool and flowing.One is the continuation of the Shijing style,the other is the expression of the characteristics of the times.The most important reason for the formation of the style of the times is that it is influenced by the aesthetic trend of emperors and metaphysics.As the watershed of ancient and modern official script,the official script of Cao Wei has not been paid enough attention.In today's view,although it has stepped into the normative cage,greatly lost the artistic performance of official script,and had a negative impact on the artistic development of official script in later generations,it is undeniable that official script of Cao Wei had a huge impact on the inscriptions of the two Jin Dynasties and the southern and Northern Dynasties,even for a long time before the end of Ming Dynasty.
