| The core issue of this paper is to explore the observation, recording and expression of the special group of people on the edge of society through photography. To this end,I will first briefly review the definition and division of marginalized groups(mainly based on Foucault’s "description of the subject" of marginalized groups). As well as their status and characteristics of being outside the mainstream cultural consciousness and system in different stages of society. Then I will focus on the important changes and new features from the Renaissance to the end of the 20 th century, especially after the emergence of photography as a new visual medium and viewing means. Finally, through the comparison and analysis of representative artists and works in different periods,I try to summarize and explain how photography artists make use of the unique advantages of photography to expand the observation and performance of marginalized people, how to show their positions and attitudes, and how these important works ultimately affect the audience and society. |
