In 1980,a bronze bull lamp with silver inlaying was unearthed from the Ganquan No.2 tomb of the Eastern Han Dynasty,in Hanjiang District,Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province. The lamp has been designated as the early Eastern Han Dynasty for 40 years.Meanwhile,it is presumed to be the imperial property of Liu Jing, the ninth son of Liu Xiu,Emperor Guangling of the Han Dynasty. So it is used to further clarify the clue of time, style and development of the lamp assembly and the development of silver staggering technology.Based on the relative chronology and framework established by a large number of archaeological materials, the paper makes a comparative analysis of the specific images from three angles of modeling, decoration and technology. And through the discussion of the shape structure, image decoration, component assembly, process manufacturing and other aspects,it further demonstrates the manufacturing age of its production.Through investigation and comparison, the author thinks that the manufacturing age of Hanjiang Cuoyin copper cattle lantern is the continuation of the style of the late Warring States period in the early Western Han Dynasty. The specific period is from the late Warring States period to the early Western Han Dynasty, not later than after the reign of Emperor Wu.It is more likely to be a late Warring States period utensil integrating the styles of Chu and Qi.
