The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of English as a second language on Koreans learning basic Chinese grammar of third language. However, most Chinese studies aimed at Korean students focus only on the relationship between Korean and Chinese languages, which is second language acquisition study.Chinese is actually a third language for the majority of Koreans who learnt English as a required subject in elementary, middle and high school. There is a clear difference between third language acquisition and second language acquisition. Therefore, there is a need to study and teach Chinese as a third language. This paper first introduces the purpose and significance of the research, prior research and related theory, and predicts the results of the survey before proceeding with the survey. We will use Contrast Analysis on seven grammars in Korean,English, and Chinese to predict the answer by dividing participants into two cases that will be affected and will not be affected. The survey is divided into two parts: the first part is the recognition survey on the influence of Korean and English in learning Chinese, and the next part is the Chinese language test.In order to examine how the answers vary depending on the proficiency of English and how the degree of influence changes depending on the proficiency of Chinese, the survey participants were recruited with different proficiency levels. The results obtained from the survey analysis showed that: 1)When studying Chinese, the highest percentage of respondents answered that Korean is helpful in Chinese characters and vocabulary, interfered in grammar,English is helpful in grammar, and does not interfere in any way. Results obtained through analysis of Chinese test: 1)The higher the level of English language proficiency of primary Chinese learners, the more Chinese learners chose Chinese answers reflecting the English language order, and the more the answers of two groups with different English proficiency levels tended to be inconsistent.2)As Chinese proficiency has increased, the correct answer rate has increased significantly regardless of the level of English, and the answers of the two groups have tended to match. The significance of this paper is to make the most of the areas where English can be positively influenced by Korean learners in the process of learning the Chinese language.
