The process of children’s first language acquisition involves abundant original information on the invention and development of language. Children’s ability in first language is the most successful example for all kinds of language learning. It is the most scientific, which reproduces the course of the development of human languages. The basic rules from children’s first language acquisition process also have a very important enlightenment function in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Using the psychology theory, especially the relevant language acquisition psychology theory, we can find some regulations by comparing the first language learning with the second language acquisition.From the language learning result, there is a big difference between children and adult in language learning. But in the learning process, children and adults do have a lot in common. This paper attempts to discuss the following questions:how to explain the phenomenon and what causes the difference, etc.This dissertation, by tracking the records of several babies’ first language acquisition, and by comparing their purposes, objects, acquisition ways, learning environment and acquisition strategies in first language acquisition with those of the second language learning, tends to find out something essential and also some regulations, and apply these regulations to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
