| Animal images appear in human language and are often endowed with certain symbolic meanings.Russian and Chinese are no exception,no matter in proverbs or fairy tales,animal images often appear.However,in view of the cultural differences between China and Russia,the different geographical location,as well as the influence of customs,social systems,religious beliefs,etc.,the symbolic meanings given by the Chinese and Russian people to different animal images are different.Proverbs are not only the crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of the working people of all countries,but also contain rich national culture.Whether in Chinese or Russian,proverbs containing animal images are very rich.People use certain characteristics of animals to metaphorize people or things,but the associations of different nationalities on animal images are not the same.They are mainly affected by different historical cultures,customs,religious beliefs,and geographical environments.So a comparative analysis of Chinese-Russian proverbs containing animal images,A comparative study of Russian and Chinese proverbs from the perspective of cultural linguistics will help us to have a better understanding of the two languages and cultures.This paper tries to find out the commonness and individuality of Russian and Chinese proverbs by comparing them.And the comparability,incompatibility and complementarity between them,so that Chinese scholars can further understand Russian proverbs and cultural and linguistic environment. |
