Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexandrovna Alexievich, who won the Nobel Prize in literature in 2015,is the author of one of her works,Zinky Boys, which narrated the memories of the soldiers and their mothers and wives in the behind during the war of Afghanistan.Through this work,Alexievich presents the historical facts in the eyes of the war witnesses to the readers,so that their patriotic ideals and disillusioned feelings can be conveyed. This novel is a nonfiction set against historical events. There is no subjective comment from the author, but the author's attitude can be seen from the selection and application of materials: he opposes unjust war,the political system that fools the public and the rule that ignores the welfare of the people. The whole paper is composed of four parts, which analyzes "Zinky Boys" from the perspective of new historicism criticism and discusses its value and significance. The first part is the introduction, which is divided into two parts: the first part introduces the reason and course of Alexyevitch's growth into a writer as a journalist,as well as the synopsis of her five works. The research results of his five works are summarized in three aspects: from the author and the introductory articles of his works;Creative techniques and creative ideas; The author's documentary genre and the core of humanistic care; The second section points out that there are not many achievements in the study of Alexievich's novels from the perspective of new historicism. The second part, based on the text of the novel, analyzes the historical facts reflected in the novel and its features as a novel of new historicism from two aspects.First,it analyzes the relationship between history and literature, compares the features of old and new historical novels, and sorts out the real historical events that the novels point to: the beginning and end of the war in Afghanistan. In addition,it analyzes the characteristics of the novel's new historicism.Alexievich's novel Zinky Boys is a novel of new historicism, which accords with the characteristics of new historicism. The text of the nonfiction oral record, from the perspective of the ordinary Soviet people, shows the burning ideal of the ordinary people and the sense of absurdity after the disillusionment of the ideal, and reconstructs a different history of the war of Afghanistan. The second chapter, combined with the theory of newhistoricism, specifically analyzes the four features of new historicism: mutual reference between history and text;Double history single line and upper history lowercase; Objective history subjectivity and inevitable history contingency;Analysis of historical desire and ideal pursuit. The third chapter analyzes the historical reflection of Zinky Boys as a historical novel, mainly from the perspective of unjust war, political background and female voices.Zinky Boys reveals a lot about the problems of the government and the army, the violence and bloodshed on the battlefield in Afghanistan, and the painful memories of mothers and wives on the home front, but this is not the author's purpose. The novel reveals the injustice of the war of Afghanistan and subverts the official history of the Soviet union,in order to point out the shortcomings of the social system and try to find a cure.Alexyevich's retelling of history is concerned with the fate of small people bound by political background, pondering "whose fault" and "what to do".The author's ultimate goal is to build a peaceful and humane world.
