Research On The Dissemination Of "Three Smiles Story"

From Ming dynasty to modern times,the romantic affair of Tang Yin to the wit has been flourishing,especially,the story of the encounter between Tang Bohu and Qiu Xiang was being the most familiar to the world,the heroine’s smile,as an important plot of this story,has been interpreted by many literary works throughout the ages.From “a smile” to “three smiles”,the plot was not only included in the tares history and shilin notes,but also adapted into novels,operas,tanci,films and TV series.“Story of Three Smiles” spread widely.This paper will start from the spread of “Story of Three Smiles” to discuss,which is divided into four parts.The first chapter is Tang Yin and “Story of Three Smiles”.This chapter mainly combines the social factors of the late Ming dynasty,through the investigation of the story,the analysis of the work,try to explore the relationship between the real image of Tang Yin in history and “Story of Three Smiles”,the origin,development and prevalence of “Story of Three Smiles”.The second chapter is the transmission and effect of “Tang Jieyuan’s marriage of a smile”.Late Ming and Qing dynasties,the continuous economic development and the prosperity of the printing industry promoted the wide spread of literary works.In this period,“Story of Three Smiles” experienced the evolution of “shilin’s bijis——narrative novels——drama and drama”.Ming dynasty novelist Feng Menglong’s “Tang Jieyuan’s marriage of a smile” can be said to be this story theme from the literati notes to the drama adaption of the transitional work,which not only summarized the main content of the original material of the story,but also possessed the basic framework and key plot of literary works.This chapter focuses on analyzing the communication and influence of “Tang Jieyuan’s marriage of a smile” from the aspects of plot setting,character image and theme aesthetics.The third chapter is “Story of Three Smiles” in tanci.The shift from “a smile” to “three smiles”,rap literature with “three simles” as the main story line became popular in the mid-Qing dynasty,among them,the main carrier of wide spread should belong to tanci.Among many versions of tanci,Wu yuchang’s “New Eddition of Three Smiles” is a landmark work in the history of Chinese ballad.This chapter will discuss the development and changes of “Story of Three Smiles” in tanci “New Eddition of Three Smiles” from the three aspects of story theme,plot structure and characterizasion technique.The conclusion part takes film and television as an example to expound the adaption of “Story of Three Smiles”,the value and significance of “Three Smiles”,and sums up the inheritance and development of classical Chinese notes,vernacular novels,tanci and films.
