Autobiography is an important form of biographical literature and has been favored by readers since its birth.The ways to literary translation and the characteristics of Russian culture can be well grasped in virtue of studying and translating these classics Russian autobiographical literature.This article is a translation practice report.The analysis target the translator selected is the autobiography ? Ice Hockey in My Heart: Things about Games,Friends,and Opponents? of Boris Mikhailov Petrovich,a famous hockey player in the former Soviet Union.The main contents of this report include three parts.Chapter 1 discusses translation practice,which introduces the author,the content of the work,preparation for translation,translation process and post-translation proofreading.The translator conducts case analysis in Chapter 2,mainly illustrating from vocabulary and sentences.Among them,the vocabulary analysis is focus on the translation of terms and idioms,and the sentences are analyzed by adding,subtracting,reorganizing,and sentences merging.Chapter 3 concludes the experience and shortcomings during this translation practice.By virtue of this translation practice,the translator aims to deepen the understanding of translation theories and meanwhile master the literary translation methods to improve translation capabilities and serve as a reference for future related translation.
