| On May 27,1949,Shanghai was liberated,and the new regime began to take over Shanghai.The people’s government of Shanghai has successfully completed the transformation of the old and new nature of radio station in Shanghai by adopting different take-over methods for radio stations of different nature.Although the former public radio stations in Shanghai was confiscated but most of the private radio stations still existed.However,the broadcasting content of the private radio stations had changed from the previous ones,including a percentage of educational and service programs to go with national construction and other publicity.Due to the commercial nature of private radio stations,there was a gap between the way they run and the regulatory standards of the government.Therefore,in order to consolidate the new regime,the government began to reform the private radio stations step by step.Firstly,a combined broadcasting company,which was partially privatized,was established.Secondly,the Shanghai people’s radio station acquired the private combined companies,resulting in the transformation of radio stations in Shanghai.With the promotion of radio control,radio programs have changed,and the broadcasting time of Shanghai operas have gradually decreased with the merger and reduction of the broadcasting week.In addition,in order to go with the propaganda of socialism,there are more modern dramas in the broadcast repertoire of Shanghai opera.After the transformation of all radio stations,Shanghai radio entered a period of nationalization,in which the government strengthened the management of radio stations.The influence of political environment on broadcasting was more obvious than before.Especially during the period of the Great Leap Forward,the eve of the "cultural revolution" and the period of the "cultural revolution",the political color of broadcasting stations was strong.The broadcasting programs of Shanghai opera are no exception,with modern dramas playing a dominant role but classical traditional dramas either being backordered or banned from broadcasting.On the eve of the "cultural revolution",many classical dramas were even listed as "bad" programs,which directly restricted the diversified development of Shanghai operas.In the new era,the liberation of the mind and the adjustment of broadcasting promoted the opening of broadcasting programs.The creation of new plays,the opening of old plays and the cultivation of new people in Shanghai opera have provided repertoire and talents for the broadcasting of Shanghai opera.With the help of broadcast media,there has been a good platform for the development of Shanghai opera and artists.However,behind the boom of Shanghai opera,there was a crisis due to the impact of TV media,other forms of entertainment and the change of audience’s listening habits.Under the new period,Shanghai opera broadcasting appears the situation that coexistence of vitality and crisis. |
