As early as in the late stage of Romantic period,there has been a voice of suspicion of the author's intentional criticism.The status of being an author of genius in the Romantic period began to waver.Later,with the linguistic turn,especially after the analysis and criticism of the author by Roland Barthes and Foucault,the understanding of the author has changed greatly.The construction of the ‘author'symbol begins with the deconstruction of the traditional author concept.The author is no longer the author of traditional personalization,but merely the name we write about the author of the work.Distinguish the author from the historical author as a real individual,we can study how the identity of the author is understood and applied,which is also called ‘author construction'.The reason why the author appears must be its reason and role.By sorting out the definition and use of authors in history,we can see the change in attitudes towards author.So we can see the possibility of ‘author construction'.‘Author construction' is the attitudes of critics towards authors,which is different from historical authors,emphasizing the readers' and critics' understanding of author identity.The reflection of ‘author construction' can be seen in the works of Foucault,Hirsch and other scholars.It can be said that the ‘author' has already existed for a long years,but the‘author construction' was only recently discovered by theorists.‘Author construction'is based on the disintegration of the author's view of the traditional binding of historical authors.After the linguistic turn,the focus of literary criticism shifted from authors to texts,which challenged the traditional view of the author.Text criticism is also a re-examination of the author's concept,helping us to re-establish a new view of author that is closely connected to the text and is contained in the text.Therefore,by paying attention to the text,an author construction emphasizing difference can be established like a symbol.After the focus of literary criticism shifted from texts to readers,reader criticism found the multiple dialogues among authors,works and readers.In this way,under the guidance of the concept of interactive subjectivity,from the perspective of the reader,an ‘author construction' can also be produced,which reflects the differences between readers and the similarity between the author and the reader.
