An Experimental And Comparative Study Of The Four Dialects Of Jin Dialect

This paper,selecting four representative dialect points of Jin Dialect in Shanxi province,mainly explores the acoustic features of the entering tone from the angle of acoustic phonetics,and also compares those features of Nantong dialect,which is representative of Jianghuai Mandarin,with Taiyuan dialect.The main content is consisted in three chapters.Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 are about the experiment of entering tone rhymes and tones of Jin Dialect.Chapter 4 is about the experiment of Nantong dialect and its comparative analysis with Taiyuan dialect.The experiment mainly analyzes the duration,formant and 2D spectrum of entering tone rhymes,and the duration,the trend of fundamental frequency and pitch of entering tone.Using R,a platform of statistics analysis,to research the acoustic parameters,this paper is aimed at describing the features of entering tone of Jin Dialect in detail,and tries comparing the acoustic features of those dialects of Jin Dialect and those of Jin Dialect and Jianghuai Mandarin.The main conclusions are as follows.?1?The duration of entering tong rhymes and entering tones of Taiyuan is the longest comparing with those of others three dialect points of Jin Dialect and Nantong dialect.?2?In Taiyuan,Datong,Changzhi and Nantong dialects,the dispersed degree of the data of duration of the entering tone rhyme which has the longest duration is highest.?3?The four dialect points of Jin Dialect have two monophthongal entering tone rhymes in same:[a?]and[??].The parameters about formants of the rhyme[??]are more stable.?4?In the four dialect points of Jin Dialect,Yuanping has the biggest difference in parameters of formant,and Taiyuan has the smallest in that.Compared with Nantong,Taiyuan also has a smaller difference in parameters of formant.?5?The coefficient of unary quadratic equation of formant F₃C₂can classify the diphthongal entering tone rhymes and the differences of those rhymes between male and female of the four dialect points of Jin Dialect and Nantong dialect significantly.?6?The glottal stop of the four dialect points of Jin Dialect is weaker than that of Nantong.
