Teacher's directive is an important mechanism to transform teachers' teaching into students' learning,and the ultimate purpose of teachers' teaching is to make students learn better.In primary school English classroom,teachers issue instructions to make students participate in teaching activities and turn teachers' teaching into students' learning.Effective English classroom instruction can not only improve teachers' teaching efficiency,but also enable students to better participate in classroom learning and improve learning efficiency.However,the long and redundant invalid instruction words will interfere with students' learning and affect teachers' teaching quality.In the past,researches on instruction language often analyzed it as a kind of language in classroom situations.And X primary school in Nanjing as an example,this study firstly with the method of directly participated observation into the X primary school English classroom without structured observation,then adopt the way of indirect non participated observation on X primary school English classroom video structured,no structured observation to collect material,the primary school English classroom field of oral instruction language,written instructions language and body language of the three forms of instruction to all aspects of the comprehensive analysis of the present situation and problems of language use.Through interviews with English teachers and students,two subjects of instruction language in primary school English classroom,this paper analyzes the current situation of the use of instruction language from the perspective of teachers and students.Based on the use of X primary school English classroom instruction language teachers present situation analysis of observation and interviews with English teachers and the class of students,this study describes the first X primary school in the teaching unit the most core part of the "Story time" and "Cartoon time" the overall use of English teaching present situation,and the whole English classroom as the research field of the present study,describe the whole field under X primary school English class in grade three to six teachers instruction language use present situation as a whole.Then,from the two aspects of the recognition of the whole English instruction language and the attention to the instruction language as a classroom discourse,the use awareness of the instruction language of English teachers and students in Xprimary school is comprehensively described.Then on this basis,the combination with observation and interview to collect data,from the linguistic features(pronunciation,vocabulary,sentence structure and discourse)and functional characteristics,management,organization and teaching functions)focus on analyzing the use of the oral language of instruction,then from two aspects of form and function characteristics analysis and the use of body language instruction in writing.Based on the analysis of the current situation,this study proposes four main problems existing in the use of instruction language by teachers in English classroom of X primary school: teachers' attention to instruction language is limited to the surface,teachers' use of instruction language is lack of pertinence,students' attention to instruction language is lack of teacher's guidance,and the use of instruction language ignores the usage of English language.And through the analysis of the problems,combined with interviews and literature reading,teachers from three aspects: consciousness,language and methods put forward improving the effectiveness of primary school English classroom instruction language teachers and feasible strategy: the level of consciousness,must first change the use of language teachers' instruction consciousness,make the teachers focus on language instruction from "attention" to "action",from "ignore" to "attention".Secondly,it pays attention to the target of teachers' instruction language use--students.The attention to students includes guiding students to actively pay attention to instruction language and students with different English learning levels.At the language level,the author puts forward corresponding concrete Suggestions for the three forms of verbal,written and body language respectively based on examples.At the method level,the author mainly proposes three methods to improve the effectiveness of instruction language:repetition,verification and demonstration.
