Commercial fonts are important tools for information recording,storage,and communication.They are widely used in traditional media and emerging fields such as computers,newspapers,books,and magazines.With the continuous introduction of various style fonts,character fonts are also constantly touching the normative bottom line of Chinese characters and writing.The lack of each glyph specification will directly or indirectly affect the formation elements of each character from strokes,parts to whole characters,and vice versa.Therefore,how to ensure the standardization of font design on the premise of encouraging diversification,individualization,and innovation,and the realization of the diversity and standardization of font styles in commercial fonts have become the basic demands of font design and application.This research systematically summarizes the phenomenon of irregular characters in current character fonts through the investigation of large-scale commercial fonts,which mainly includes the elimination of stroke specifications,the looseness of component specifications,and the weakening of the whole character characteristics.Based on this,the research object is selected from character sets in the "Common Standard Chinese Character Table" with the form of standard italics,and the stroke skeleton is selected as the benchmark.The correctness index system for describing the details of the structure of Chinese characters is established,and the correctness evaluation of the font glyphs is realized.The standard scheme includes stroke length,stroke direction,stroke intersection,and location judgment.From the perspective of implementation,this study sets three standards of positive,bad and wrong for each word.Among them,"bad" is a buffer zone established between"positive" and "false".The positive,bad,and false boundaries are set with control parameters,and the statistical results of the experimental sample words are analyzed,and then different application scenarios are set.Under this standard scheme,four types of font fonts,covering 125 characters of 7 types of structures,are used as the research object,and the ratio of positive and inferiority of each index is given.At the same time,the irregularities of the sample characters are accurately pointed out.The statistical results are compared with the results of manual evaluation.Comparative tests and experiments show that the correctness scheme proposed in this research has certain effects on the specification of certain fonts,but the applicability of the schemes needs to be further explored and optimized for fonts with various styles.
