Research On The New Phenomenon Of Chinese Youth Network Subculture

Youth is the major creator and participant of subculture.Therefor,youth study and subculture study are closely related globally.The employment of Internet in worldwide scale has not only changed the way people work and live,but also created network subculture.As the vanguard and believer of the Internet,youth group created an original youth network subculture by combining network subculture with youth subculture.While the emergence of new phenomena is dazzling,its characteristic,significance and relation to social structure are not clearly stated yet.This paper focuses on the particular social function of youth network subculture—individual socialization.The research is guided by sociology and subculture theory.All studies are based on depth interview with participants of youth network subculture,and are conducted in case analysis method,in order to acquire a explanation with profoundness,details and specification.Subculture,as to mainstream culture,refers to minor culture contents.Subculture theory indicates that in a sophisticated society there are multiple subcultures,each has its unique pursuit and value,different from the mainstream culture.In the 1960 s and 1970 s,youth movement broke out in Europe and America,and youth subculture became a prominent phenomenon of "inter-generational culture".Young people in Europe and the United States oppose social inequality and education malpractice under the capitalist system through social movements,oppose war and demand racial,age and social equality.They express themselves through rock music,miniskirts and popular music,forming a new appeal based on the unique subculture language.At the end of the social movement,avant-garde,negative,rich and innovative content of subculture,into a popular style of Europe and the United States social daily life way,to form the combined with mass consumption,popular commercial innovation,constantly looking for avant-garde,style change trend of youth subculture.This trend has objectively promoted the development of western mass consumption culture.After the 1990 s,with the deepening of economic globalization,the western mass consumer lifestyle to spread around the world,European and American youth subculture style has been spread to other parts of the world,the Chinese youth also by its influence.During this period,the research on subculture and youth at home and abroad has always been closely linked.The network culture has the characteristics of individuality,diversity,virtuality,equality and selectivity,which makes the youth network subculture rise.As a pioneer of users and advocates of Internet technology,young people become not only the earliest advocates of Internet culture,the recipient,and will own the original subculture content combined with network subculture content,to create a unique youth network subculture.The process is rapid and explosive.As a result,many new phenomena appear in today's youth network subculture,which presents a new feature and assumes a new social function,namely,individual socialization.Individual socialization is part of socialization.Individual socialization is a selective,decentralized,individual process and aspect of socialization of a specific group.In the era of digital mobile Internet,the technical features of the Internet have strengthened the differences between generations,groups,individuals and individuals.In the continuous development of youth network socialization subculture,individuals have new significance and status.The social theory of mainstream sociology focuses on the inner meaning building and personality integrity of socialized individuals.When studying the phenomenon of youth network subculture and the individual socialization choice in the development of network subculture,cultural function refers to the reflection and questioning of cultural meaning and cultural formation.This paper focus on the latest development of China youth network subculture,its new characteristics and individual investigates relevant social orientation,function by using the theory of subculture and relevant theory of sociology contemporary Chinese youth network subculture new phenomenon;Through the interview and case analysis of the participants of the youth network subculture,we try to obtain a specific,in-depth and personal experience perspective.
