In recent years,with the extensive application of new media technology,new media has had a profound impact on our daily life.New media technology has not only changed the channels of news and information dissemination,but also presented huge challenges to traditional media.Copyright of news works has become the focus of attention.Since 2005,disputes over the copyright of news works triggered by new media have continued.The copyright of traditional media for their original news works can not be respected and recognized by the public.Many new media use their own technological advantages without The author's permission to freely reprint,copy and use news media of traditional media not only seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of traditional media,but also disrupted the orderly and fair competition in the media industry.Under the new media environment,the copyright infringement caused by the new media on traditional media news works needs to be solved urgently.The Beijing News,co-founded by Guangming Daily Newspaper Group and Nanfang Daily Newspaper Group,is a strong new mainstream paper media covering a large area of China's political center in Beijing.It has a 12-year history of safeguarding the copyright of news works.The newspaper has always walked in the forefront of the traditional media to defend the copyright of its news works.The study of its rights practice and its predicament has both theoretical value and practical value.This article consists of seven parts:The first part introduces the research background,significance and summarizes the domestic and foreign research on the copyright of news works.The second part introduces the theoretical basis of the copyright of news works.This chapter based on the first priority of copyright law as the basis for the distinction between news works to further clarify the legitimacy of the legal protection of news works.At the same time,this article analyzes the new connotation of the copyright of news works under the new media environment and elaborates the people's understanding of the copyright of news works.The third chapter introduces the general situation of Beijing Newspaper as a typical traditional media,the properties of traditional media and the survival problems faced by the new media era.The fourth chapter is the focus of this article.First of all,it studies the status quo of copyright infringement in the news works of "Beijing News" first,then introduces the way of rights protection against the infringement phenomenon of "Beijing News”,and finally analyzes the case of "Beijing News" The Six Predicaments Confronting Copyright Rights Protection in News Works.Chapter V explores the causes of the traditional media rights dilemma under the new media environment.Focus from the legal level,interest level,technical level and public awareness level analysis.Chapter Six discusses the domestic and international traditional media copyright infringement disputes countermeasures,the "Beijing News" and other traditional media solutions to the plight of copyright rights to solve the problems and suggestions,from the legal level,industry development and public awareness level to find a solution to the problem law.
