Research On Yan'an Pingju Transformation Movement Led By The Communist Party Of China (1935-1945)

With the ending of the Long March in 1935,the CPC officially entered Yan'an,and the work in literature and art under the CPC's leadership entered the Yan'an period.Then up to the ending of the War of Resistance Against Japan,Beijing opera,which is the most ancient opera,started its long-term reforming and changing under the leadership of the CPC with the revolution in China.Thus,what kind of changes happened in Beijing opera itself? How did the CPC reform and apply the ancient Beijing opera? How the literature and art reforming movement affected the revolution in China? And What is the significance to the work of literature and art in the New era under the CPC's leadership? According to these questions,this thesis considers and researches the Yan'an's Beijing opera reform during 1935 to 1945.The introduction describes the significance of the topic of this paper,current research situation and the research methods.The first chapter summarizes the backgrounds of the Yan'an's Beijing opera reform.Firstly,introduce the base situation of Beijing opera during the earlier revolution in China.Next,briefly analyze the work of opera led by the CPC before Yan'an period.Then,describe the situation inner the CPC and the Red Army before they entered Yan'an,and arrive at a conclusion that the Beijing opera would get reborn in Yan'an accompanied by the growth of the CPC.The second chapter reviews and introduces the main process of the reformation of Beijing opera in Yan'an during 1935 to 1945.This chapter is divided into three parts,including the reformation of opera troupes,opera scripts and artists.In the opera troupes' part,it reviews the developing process of the opera troupes from the Red Army,the Bejing opera research troupe in the Lu Xun Arts College to the final form the Yan'an Beijing Opera Research Institute.In the part on opera scripts reformation,describe and review two main periods which were the “New Wine in Old Bottle” period and “bringing forth the new through the old” period,and analyze the Beijing opera'sthe content and form in these two period,then summarize their significances and limits respectively.In the last part,point out the difference reflected from the Beijing opera artist before and after the rectification movement,literature and art coming to the countryside,and putting right the wrong tendencies.The third chapter includes some thoughts about the Beijing opera reformation movement in Yan'an during 1935 to 1945.This chapter analyzes the historic significance of the reformation movement from the perspectives of the politic,the ideology,the society and the culture.Finally,this part reveals the realistic meaning to the works of literature and art under the leadership of the CPC in the New Era.
