Fidel Castro was the great leader of the republic of Cuba and a world-class leader who grew up during the war years of the 20 th century. This paper analyzes Castro's historical practices of dealing with the United States,as well as the major historical events between Cuba and the United States,to study Castro's understanding of the United States, and grasp the interconnections between the development and changes of the diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States and Castro's American views. This paper tries to provide a reference for grasping the direction of the relationship between China and the United States correctly by studying Castro's historical practices of dealing with the United States. The structure of this paper is as follows:The first part is the introduction. It is mainly introduce the significance of the subject, the research status at home and abroad, and the research ideas and methods. The second part is the initial formation of Castro's views of the United States during the Cuban dictatorship. In his youth,Castro had both good and hostile views of the United States. Then he began to question the capitalist system during the period of study,During the revolutionary period,he led the overthrow of the pro-American Batista dictatorship to win Cuban independence. The third part is Castro's views of the United States during the cold war.During this period,Castro's view of the United States experienced two turns. The first turning point was that after the success of the Cuban revolution,Castro wanted to turn his enemies into friends and seek American support. The second turning point was a complete hostility to the United States after the failure to seek American support. This part is mainly about Castro's failure of seeking American support for the new regime, hope that the Soviet Union launched a nuclear missile to attack the United States, and firmly standing in the national revolution and socialist revolutionary camp. The fourth part is Castro's views of the United States after the collapse of the Soviet Union.During this period,Cuba faced a severe international situation, there was no dependence on the outside world,Castro led Cuba to resolutely oppose hegemonism in the United States and prevent the peaceful evolution of the United States. And the terrorist hegemony in the United States caused the double influences of the Cuban –Americans during the period. In order to break the adverse situation,Castro carried out pluralistic diplomacy. He tried to break the American blockade by seeking international supportthrough religious channels. As the situation changes,Castro's attitude towards the United States was more pragmatic,Cuba and the United States restored diplomatic relations formally.Castro's attitude to the United States went from revolutionary to realist. The fifth part is the influence of Castro's views of the United States on the relationship between Cuba and the United States in the post-Castro era. With the new leadership, which grew up after the founding of Cuba, came to power, the relationship between Cuba and the United States is more pragmatic, and will have more economic cooperation. But,the relationship between Cuba and the United States will continue to divide for a long time. This estrangement stems from the long-standing ideological differences between the two countries and their differences in the areas of human rights and the issue of guantanamo. But this gap will not affect the peace between the two countries. The sixth part is the contemporary significance of Castro's views of the United States. The history of the relationship between Cuba and the United States is of great significance to better handle and develop China-US relations. When dealing with the United States, the Socialist countries should adhere to some basic principles, such as diplomatic pluralism and the five principles of peaceful coexistence. In the era of the coexistence of socialism and capitalism, the two systems should follow some basic principles of coexistence, such as respecting each other's institutional choices, strengthening party interaction and exchange, and respecting the degree of openness in the market economy, etc.
