My master's thesis sorts out and summarizes the turn of the proletarian revolutionary theory in Marx's thought during the period of the Neue Rheinische Zeitung, analyzing the practical and theoretical reasons for this turn, and explaining the impact and significance of this turn.In this period,Marx gave up the unrealistic fantasy that the revolution was upcoming, and drawled a conclusion that it happened only through major economic crises. There were both practical and theoretical reasons for Marx's re-adjustment of the proletarian revolutionary theory. From a practical point of view, the first was the economic recovery of the major capitalist countries;the second was that Marx had learned about the status quo of the proletariat. In addition, there were also even more profound theoretical reasons, that was,the shift of Marx's critical perspective, from historical materialism to the critique of political economy,at the same time, its theoretical starting point had gradually changed, and from the theory of labor subject to capital logic.Marx's theory of the proletarian revolution in the period had far-reaching influence and significance. It not only inspired Lenin and early Western Marxism to explore the theory of proletarian revolution, but more importantly,it provided us with the answer to the question of crossing the “Capitalist Kafting Valley”,and offered us theoretical support and intellectual security to achieve great economic development and cultural prosperity of China.
