Since the new century, the group rise of emerging countries has caused significant changes in international power. However, the characteristics of the current international mechanism make it derailed from our times. The outbreak of the 2008 international financial crisis led to the cooperation of the BRICS.As the largest developing countries in the world and the most important emerging market countries, the founding member of the BRICS and the active advocacy countries,China and India have achieved goals and achievements that are difficult to achieve by their own strength through the BRICS.First, bilateral political field: mutual moral and political support, and strategic dialogue to control differences in territorial boundaries.Second, bilateral economic and trade field: developing bilateral trade and negotiating to resolve India's trade deficit with China.Third, field of global governance: enhancing the voice of the two countries in IMF and WB,jointly responding to the pressure of developed countries on climate change and WTO reform, and combating terrorism. However,it is undeniable that China-India cooperation in the BRICS is facing challenges due to bilateral differences between two countries,US unilateralism, and internal problems of the BRICS.This paper believes that the BRICS,as a platform for exchanges and cooperation between China and India to participate in global governance, cannot be replaced by other bilateral or multilateral dialogue mechanisms or forums. In order to meet the challenges faced by the BRICS,China and India should: First, strengthening political trust and consolidating their consensus;Second, developing cooperation between the two countries in global governance;Third, promoting mechanism of the BRICS.
