Ayn Rand(1905-1982),a Russian-American writer,a philosopher, and a playwright, created two best-selling novels,“The Fountainhead”and“Atlas Shrugged”,known in the world, and developed the“objectivism”philosophy system.According to a survey conducted by the US Congressional Library,“Atlas Shrugged”is the second most influential American work in the 20th century.President Trump has said more than once that he is a fan of Ann Rand. The New York Times and many other major political newspapers and magazines have recognized this and believe that the policies adopted by Trump and his ruling team are supported by An Rand' s rational self-interest theory;but some foreign scholars believe that the Trump administration' s policy does not follow the ethical principles of objectivism philosophy. At present, most of China's academic circles have focused on the political issues of the Trump administration on specific issues such as the Korean nuclear issue and Sino-US trade war. However, the relationship between the political character of the Trump administration and the Ayn Rand' s objectivism philosophy has not yet been arisen.Paying attention to and form a discussion or argument, this article combines the theoretical content of political science and comparative politics, and studies a large number of foreign language materials to research this issue, and intends to fi ll this gap.The main body of the paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction, which briefly introduces the origin, significance, research status and research content of this research. The second chapter briefly introduces Ayn Rand' s life and thoughts, and supplements the vague part of Ann Rand' s thoughts against the criticism of Hazel Barnes.Ayn Rand's main ideas include:Ontology-reality or existence is first, existence exists, not by human will;epistemology-reason is the most basic way of human existence, accepting rational guidance is the root of personal moral growth and the progress made by mankind for freedom;ethics-life itself is the only criterion of value, rational self-interest is the virtue of happiness;political view-free capitalism is the most ideal political system.By enshrining individual rights as a basic principle,laissez-faire capitalism systematically protects the ability of individuals to live rationally. The famous American existentialist philosopher Hazel Barnes believes that Ayn Rand' s attempt to find objective ethical norms is ridiculous, but belongs to the illusion of human pursuit of good.In response to this criticism, this paper introduces the concepts of "psychological trauma" and " empathy" in the field of psychology to demonstrate the physiological perception mechanism of the human body, indicating that the human body itself can be used as a criterion for value judgment and explain the important position of rationality. The third chapter analyzes Ayn Rand's political views in detail and briefly explains the channels through which they exert influence.Ayn Rand believes that the United States has a superior moral status, and its foundation is derived from the capitalist system' s respect for human happiness and rights, which is incomparable to the system under the altruistic principle;at the same time,Ann Rand believes that the consideration of morality does not conflict with the consideration of interests.Even the standard of happiness of secularization is the product of rational spirit. In Ayn Rand' s view, both the capitalist system and the principle of personal happiness must be based on individual rights, which is the boundary of action. No group has the right to interfere with the legal rights of individuals. After analyzing the above points, this article gives a brief introduction to the way in which Ayn Rand' s thought exerts influence, including the personal political activities of Ayn Rand, the supporters of Ayn Rand' s thought, and the Ayn Rand Institute. The forth chapter describes the Trump administration and its policies in the eyes of objectiveist.By analysis of it,we find that the Trump administration' s“Put America first”principle, collectivism and anti-intellectual tendency not only do not conform to the creed of Any Rand' s objectivist philosophy, but also the object of its key criticism. The fifth chapter is a summary of the article.Although Any Rand has extensive social influence, studying Any Rand' s thoughts is very helpful for us to understand American culture and American spirit, but through the analysis of this government,we find that the Trump government is not the supporter of Any Rand' s thoughts. The innovation of this paper is to deeply explore the influence of Ayn Rand on contemporary American politics by combining today' s hot political topics, and to supplement the understanding of Ayn Rand's objectivism principle by introducing the principles of psychological knowledge. It clarified some myths about Trump' s government policy inclinations and made some contributions to enhancing our country' s political understanding of contemporary American politics.
