Research On The Experience Of Establishing National Unity And Progress From The Perspective Of Public Management

As the earliest provincial-level minority autonomous region in China,Inner Mongolia is the earliest province-level ethnic autonomous region in China and the earliest place where the party's regional ethnic autonomy system was put into effect.For a long time,Inner Mongolia has been praised as a "model autonomous region" for its unity,harmony and stability.Ordos is a typical muti-ethnic settlement area dominated by the Mongolians.Ordos' national unity has a profound historical and broad realistic basis.In response to General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on ethnic work and his important demands for Inner Mongolia to "promoting national unity and frontier solid" and other national work,Ordos has insisted on taking the creation of a national model city of national unity and progress as its carrier,carrying out the guiding spirit of the central government's and the autonomous region's ethnic policies,insisting on the basis of the development of the people's livelihood,taking more measures to consolidate and develop national unity and progress of good situation,exploring a creation path with Ordos unique nationality region characteristic.In December 2019,Ordos was successfully established as a "demonstration city of national ethnic unity and progress".The successful experience of its founding activities is of typical practical significance.Taking Ordos as an example,this paper summarizes the theoretical and practical experience of Ordos in the creation of "National demonstration city of ethnic unity and progress",analyzes the relationship between ethnic unity and the development of local people's livelihood.Through various measures,such as strengthening the publicity and education of ethnic unity,promoting ethnic unity with cultural identity,and increasing the investment in the areas of ethnic people's livelihood,the quality of life of residents in Ordos has been continuously improved,residents' income has been continuously increased,and the social economy has been further developed.Ordos has become the region with the fastest economic development in Inner Mongolia in recent years.However,there are still deficiencies exists.For example,the scope of the project is not deep enough,the department coordination is insufficient,the effect of poverty alleviation of ethnic minorities remains to be improved,and the development of industries with ethnic characteristics is limited.In view of these problems and their causes,this paper puts forward some thoughts and opinions on the creation of ethnic unity under the new situation,hoping to provide practical guidance for the development of ethnic work in Inner Mongolia and other ethnic minority areas in the new era.
