Research On The Creation Of Ethnic Unity And Progress In Urban Communities In Frontier Ethnic Areas

The establishment of ethnic unity and progress work starts at the grassroots level and develops at the grassroots level.It is an important practice indispensable for the implementation of the Communist Party of China and China's ethnic policies and national work in the new era.It is also an effective way of cultivation of the Chinese Community consciousness.The urban communities in our country's frontier ethnic regions are unique.The combination of its special humanistic geographic environment and complex ethnic composition has formed differences in language,culture,customs,and religious beliefs among residents of various ethnic groups within the community,and a large number of floating ethnic minority populations and economic development that needs to be improved,all of these have put forward higher requirements and greater tests for the actual development of the establishment of ethnic unity and progress work.The community is the most basic unit for the production and life of the people of all ethnic groups.Doing a good job in the establishment of community ethnic unity and progress can provide strong support for the cause of ethnic unity and progress in border ethnic areas.It also lays a solid foundation of identity to forge the consciousness of the Chinese ethnic community of the people of all ethnic groups in the frontier ethnic regions and also provides a strong guarantee for the unity and stability of the motherland's frontier.In 2018,the Shizishan Community of Pingxiang City,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was rated as a model community for ethnic unity in China.Shizishan Community is located in the ethnic minority areas in the south western frontier of our country.It is close to Friendship Pass.In addition to residents of Zhuang,Han,Miao,Jing,Dong,Yao,Buyi,and other ethnic groups in the community,there are also a large number of transnational migrant workers.As well as the floating population of ethnic minorities,the overseas Chinese communities in the jurisdiction are also the main settlements of returned overseas Chinese in the city.Drug abuse,management of migrants,community integration of ethnic minority residents,communication,and interaction among residents of all ethnic groups have all brought challenges to the smooth development of ethnic work in the community.However,after persistent exploration and practice,Shizishan Community has gradually found the right path,got rid of difficulties,and became become a model for ethnic unity communities in the autonomous region and even the whole country.The experience of the Shizishan Community has both generality and particularity.It is an advanced model of combining the governance of ethnic communities in border cities with the creation of ethnic unity and progress,especially the southwest frontier ethnic areas.This research is based on the importance and particularity of the establishment of ethnic unity and progress in urban communities in frontier ethnic areas.Through field investigations and interviews in the Shizishan community of Pingxiang City,we have an in-depth understanding of the development of ethnic unity and progress in this community.Analyze the effectiveness of the work of establishing ethnic unity and progress in the community and the existing problems,from the experience of the Shizishan community to the practice of building ethnic unity and progress in urban communities in other frontier ethnic regions in our country,it is recommended that urban communities in frontier ethnic regions should pay attention to their own particularities,and integrate daily governance work closely with ethnic unity and progress.Strengthen the ethnic unity and advancement creation ability,optimize the level of community ethnic work,give full play to the advantages of diverse ethnic cultures,carry out diverse activities,build harmonious ethnic relations among residents of all ethnic groups,build a sense of Chinese ethnic community,focus on community party building and the training of ethnic talents,and give full play to the ethnic.Unite the role model of role models,create an inclusive and open community spirit,encourage residents of all ethnic groups to participate in the creation of community ethnic unity and progress,and combine the ethnic characteristics of border ethnic areas to give more color to the creation of ethnic unity and progress.The action of the establishment of ethnic unity and progress lies in creation,meaning in the demonstration,and effectiveness in a promotion.This study is based on a field survey of the establishment of ethnic unity and progress in the Shizishan Community of Pingxiang City,summing up relevant experiences,and hopes that it can provide a certain reference value for the urban communities in the ethnic regions on the southwest frontier and other frontier ethnic regions in our country to better carry out the establishment of ethnic unity and progress.
