Research On The Characteristics Of The Elderly's Daily Leisure Behavior Based On Time Scale

As the population's leisure fever continues to rise and the ageing of the population becomes a normal trend in social development,the quality of daily leisure for the elderly has aroused widespread public concern.The analysis of the characteristics of the daily leisure behavior of the elderly based on time scale has become an important way to grasp the patterns,changes and differences in leisure time,leisure space,leisure partner and other levels.Chengdu enjoys the reputation of "land of abundance",has a rich leisure culture,and has a large number of elderly people,so daily leisure is very typical.In this paper,we gradually comb through the relevant concepts,theories and research status,and use a qualitative research method to codify the textual information from the interviews conducted in the field,focusing on the correlation between the time scale and the leisure behavior characteristics of the elderly.At the same time,the problem of leisure constraints at the level of commonality is summarized and a countermeasure to optimize the leisure behavior of the elderly is proposed.The conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)The morning leisure life of older adults of Chengdu can be divided into three types: "break from the busy",leisure as the core of the morning hours and no exclusive leisure time;They have a relatively continuous,complete and high-quality leisure behaviour in the afternoon;The amount of leisure time in the evening hours is generally over 2 hours,but there is too much reliance on television.The characteristics of leisure space,mode of travel,leisure partner,etc.vary from time to time.(2)Both the "senior citizen who lives with the grandchildren" and "senior citizen who doesn't live with the grandchildren",leisure behavior characteristics have overt differences between working day and non-working day.The amount of leisure time spent on non-working days has increased significantly compared to working days,and leisure spaces have expanded significantly.(3)Leisure satisfaction under seasonal change varies from person to person.In addition,for the "migrant elderly",leisure satisfaction is at a high level throughout the year.(4)The changes in the leisure life of the "old-old population" are reflected in the trend of "decay" in leisure,which has led to the homogenization of leisure methods and the gradual "separation" of leisure partners.(5)Constraints on daily leisure behaviour of older adults of Chengdu include three main components: intrapersonal constraints,interpersonal constraints and structural constraints,while structural constraints are themost prominent leisure constraints;Poor physical condition and the influence of climate and air quality are the realities that have the most feedback from older people affecting daily leisure behaviour.It is expected that the research conducted in this paper will enrich the practice and application of substantive research methods in the field of leisure.At the same time,it is hoped that the detailed division of time scales will,to a certain extent,help the elderly in adult cities to have a more comprehensive understanding of leisure,so as to scientifically improve the quality of daily leisure life of every retired person.
