Moral education is the soul of school education.It is a duty of all school moral education to teach the students to assume the responsibility for the other.With the rapid development of economic globalization and the proliferation of neo-liberalism,the market determines the economy spread to the market determines the life.There are universal moral problems,such as egocentricity,egoism,hedonism,and interpersonal indifference,and the youth students who are in the period of values shaping is more likely to be influenced by the morals and the values from the society.For this reason,school moral education should teach students to understand the other,care for the other,experience the uniqueness of the other and be responsible for the other;and inspire students' moral feelings,elevate their moral practice about the infinite responsibility from the self to the other;finally perfect their virtuous and fulfilling moral life.Zygmunt Bauman is one of the most prestigious sociologists in the West,and his critique of modernity and the carding of postmodern social situations are beneficial to people to understand the current global social changes.Through the thorough and meticulous analysis of modern society,Bauman focuses his mind on the subject o f individual morality and social solidarity,and forms a unique postmodern moral concept.Bauman sees it as the key to getting out of the current social dilemma.The core of Bauman's moral concept is to be responsible for the other.Firstly,the self should respect the difference of the other,which is embodied in the uniqueness of his nature,and therefore to be responsible for the other is to protect those differences.Secondly,the relationship between the self and the other is one-way,that is,the altruistic behavior is unconditional,and not affected by contract,remuneration,punishment and other factors.Therefore,the moral concept about the other that Bauman constructs provides a unique research perspective and some valuable theoretical enlightenments to get rid of the dilemma of current school moral education.This paper is composed of five parts.The first part is an introduction,which aims at explaining the origin and significance of the research,research methods,key and difficult points,innovative points,the definition of core concepts,and the relevant literature review at home and abroad.The second part reveals the domination of the other in modern society by carding the usual strategy of modernity domination,the survival situation and survival strategy of the other in modern society.The third part focuses on the liquid modernity which Bauman use s it to describe the current social formation,and then analyses the other's lost in it.The fourth part attempts to integrate the fragmented view or statement of moral insights scattered in Bauman's writings,in order to explain his moral concept systematically.The fifth part combines the problems existing in the current school moral education in our country,probes into the theoretical and practical significance of Bauman's moral concept in our current school moral education and its limitations.
