Biological image is the second language for teachers to teach biology,and an effective tool for students to learn biology.Many teachers realize that reading ability has become an important factor that restricts the development of students' biological learning.However,due to lack of scientific theoretical basis and systematic method,teachers' guidance effect on students' reading ability is not obvious.Therefore,this study attempts to build a comprehensive,scientific and effective evaluation system which teachers can use to objectively diagnose students' reading ability in biology,and find out the reasons of students' reading difficulties,thus "targeted" to help students improve their reading ability.Thus,it can help students to improve targetedly their reading ability.Based on the theory of dual coding theory and the theory of educational communication,this study made a practical investigation on the construction of the evaluation system of biological reading ability and made an empirical research on the application of the evaluation system,combined with the evaluation idea of high school biology curriculum standards at home and abroad.The following conclusions are obtained:In the evaluation system of high school students' biology reading ability,there are four items of the first level index:image recognitionability,drawingability,analysis of image ability andusing image ability.There are eight items of the two level index:obtaining the explicit information of the image,obtaining image recessive information,fill biological information in the image,drawing a chart based on the biologic or image data,analysis of biological information and the relationship between them,explaining the causes of biological phenomena,prediction of the development trend of biological phenomena,practical application of biological images.The evaluation system of high school students' biology reading ability has the following three characteristics:the objective evaluation of middle school students'reading ability,attaches great importance to the development of the students' reading ability,strong operability.There are many factors affecting the reading ability of high school students.There are factors from students and teachers.The training of students' reading ability should start from the main body of students and should be adopted with appropriate methods.For students with weak reading ability,the teacher should use the method of reading the guide chart in normal teaching.For students with poor drawing ability,teachers should strengthen drawing training.For students with poor analysis ability,teachers should learn how to find ideas in class.
