Research On Scholarship Policy For International Students In China

Enlarging the number of international students studying in China is one of the most important way to disseminate Chinese culture,build Chinese image and promote worldwide recognition.At the mean time,education for international students is also the strategic measure for development of education-advanced country,and achievement of the "two one-hundred-year" goals and Chinese nation revolution.2015 National Development and Reform Commission,Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Ministry of Commerce jointly issued the "promote the Silk Road economic zone and the 21st century Maritime Silk Road vision and action",clearly mentioned"to expand the scale of exchange students,China has opened 10,000 new scholarship candidates every year to the countries along the "Belt and Road".In addition,in the construction of "Belt and Road Initiative",we have promoted cooperation and exchange by strengthening cooperation among relevant countries.The new opportunity has been brought to Chinese international education.Among international students,many of them enjoyed various scholarships.The international students' scholarship policy is very significant for the enrollment of international students,as well as Chinese international education.In April 2016,the Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Doing a Good Job of Opening to the Outside World Education in the New Era",and stressed that "the implementation of the 'all the way' educational action and the promotion of educational cooperation along the country."To expand the size of the Chinese government scholarship funding,the establishment of 'Silk Road' Chinese government scholarship".Along with the enlargement of the number of international students,and the development of Chinese international education,the scholarship policy is becoming more and more important.However,there are several problems about the international students' scholarship policies,especially the local government international students' scholarship policies,such as the policy aim is unclear,the policy execution is not unified,and the policy propaganda is fall behind.All these problems are damaging the leading and awarding roles of the international students' scholarship,and impeding the development of the education of international students.Therefore,the author chose to focus on the topic of Government International Students' Scholarship Policy Analysis based on Jiangsu Jasmine Government Scholarship,aiming to study in depth of international students'scholarship policies,and providing some suggestion for the policy-making and policy-ameliorating.
