An Empirical Study Of College Students' Identification Of Socialist Core Values

The report of the 18 th CPC National Congress clearly stated: "We must promote prosperity,democracy,civilization,harmony,and promote freedom,equality,justice,the rule of law,and advocate patriotism,dedication,integrity,and kindness,and actively nurture and practice The core values of socialism." The introduction of the 24-character socialist core values is not only a guide to contemporary pluralistic values in China,but also a necessary response to the infiltration of Western values.However,The core values of socialism are not better summarized if they are not widely recognized by the people,and it is difficult to become a practical force to transform the world in real life.Therefore,enhancing the public's recognition of socialist core values is bound to become an important practical issue at the cultivation and implementation of socialist core values in the current and future period.As a builder and successor of the socialist modernization cause,college students have a high level of education,active thoughts,and easy acceptance of new things.They are important target groups for the education of The core values of socialism.Their recognition of The core values of socialism is directly related to the country's Future and destiny.Therefore,it is necessary to regard college students as a sub-group of socialist core values and strengthen the research on the identification of socialist core values of college students,and on this basis,further enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of ideological and political education.By combing relevant research literature,this paper uses the methods of literature data,interviews and questionnaires,and comparative research methods under the guidance of Marxist ideology theory,process theory of ideological and political education,and the related theories of cognitive psychology.The 1,100 college students in Xi'an conducted a questionnaire survey on the identification of socialist core values and its influencing factors.They found that the overall identity of college students is in good condition,but there are some problems:(1)Cognitive ambiguity,inconsistent knowledge,and large span between individuals;(2)In terms of recognition,male college students are significantly higher than female college students,and science and engineering students are significantly higher than liberal arts college students.The grades of four grades are ranked freshman,sophomore,senior,and junior from high to low.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between college students' identification of socialist core values and education subjects,educational media,educational objects,and educational environment.According to the investigation results,this article puts forward some measures to improve the literacy and ability of the teachers,and improve the morality and cognitive level of the students,and enhance the attraction of the educational media,and create a good campus atmosphere and pay attention to current issues from the perspective of college education.,in order to improve college students' identification of socialist core values.
