Geospatial cognitive ability is an indispensable cognitive ability in the growth of adolescents. With the development of science and technology, the influence of remote sensing technology on education is gradually expanded, and the importance of secondary vocational education is also increasingly enhanced. Therefore, how to use remote sensing technology to enhance the geospatial cognitive ability of secondary vocational students is particularly important. In this paper, the students with abnormal data were marked by the raven test and the pre-class geography knowledge test, and the control group and the experimental group were selected.Three cases were selected to illustrate how to combine remote sensing technology with teaching, and two groups of students were tested after the experiment. From the perspective of average scores, the scores of the experimental class were higher than those of the control class, and the scores of the experimental class were higher than those of the control class in three aspects: spatial scale correlation ability, temporal scale judgment ability and spatial change generalization ability. Conclusion: in the experimental group, the combination of remote sensing technology and geography teaching is effective, and students' geospatial cognition ability is improved.
