Occupational expectation is the craving and yearning for a certain profession. It is not only the external manifestation of the intrinsic value ofindividual, but also the internal motivation for determining the choice of individual's career. With the increase in the number of college students in recent years, the job-hunting situation has become increasingly severe.Individual career expectations in the process of career choice directly affect the choice of career.Deaf college students,as a special group in society, have their own unique expectations compared with hearing college students. This study took the "Occupational Expectation Scale" compiled by Wu Liangliang and Li Baoxian, and developed an interview outline based on the scale,Questionnaires were sent to 200 deaf college students and 200 hearing college students randomly selected from Zhengzhou Normal University and Zhengzhou Engineering Vocational and Technical College, and interviews were conducted with 8deaf college students and 8 teachers who teach them.Through the analysis of the questionnaires,it was found that there are significant differences in the internal value factors between the deaf students and the hearing students. The difference between the prestigious status stability factors and the external value factors was not significant. In the process of discussion,it was found that the career choices of deaf college students are relatively limited, deaf college students were at disadvantage in strong competition, communication barriers still exist and the salary expectations of deaf people were lower. The following conclusions were drawn:1.Deaf college students and hearing college students are similar in occupational expectations;2.Subjective and objective reasons caused deaf college students have lower expectations for career expectation stability;3.Realistic conditions lead to a relatively low self-realization expectation among deaf college students.Suggestions on establishing reasonable career expectations for deaf college students:1.Improve the individual quality of the deaf;2.Improve the education system;3.Pay attention to the role of family education in deaf education;4.Strengthen the social security effect.
