In recent years,with the deepening of curriculum reform in senior high schools,the proposal of developing students’ core literacy,the promulgation of the new edition of Physics Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools,and the implementation of the new entrance examination reform,especially the "3+X" mode of subject selection,which gives students more freedom to choose subjects and makes physics subject into a dilemma at the same time,making physics the lowest proportion of students’ subject selection.From the implementation effect of the reform of college entrance examination,the "3+X" mode of subject selection has also been widely questioned by all sectors of society.It is believed that the majority of science and engineering students choose other subjects rather than physics in order to improve their college entrance examination results,which is quite unfavorable to the professional development in the future.Due attention needs to be given to Physics,therefore,different hard measures have been taken.However,getting attention does not mean that it can solve the problem of students’ fear of learning physics.What are the main factors that affect the improvement of physical performance? Educators and front-line teachers have different opinions,and also put forward many methods and measures to improve the performance of physics.One of the most important factors is the function of mathematical knowledge in physics teaching.Mathematics and physics are two very important subjects in senior high school,and they are closely related to each other.Whether in the expression of concepts or the operation of exercises,the size of mathematical ability affects students’ physical performance,so mathematics is an indispensable tool to learn physics well.In order to have a comprehensive and concrete knowledge of the influence of mathematics on senior high school students’ learning physics,the difficulties they encounter in learning physics,and the ideas and suggestions of learning physics,so as to carry out the strategies and methods to improve the performance of senior high school students’ physics,the paper mainly carries out the following research:1.The predicament of Physics Teaching in senior high schools is analyzed from the aspects of the characteristics of physics teaching,the "3+X" mode of the new college entrance examination reform and the teaching reform.The research results of physics concepts and mathematics knowledge at home and abroad are summarized.2.Guided by transfer theory,constructivism theory and humanism theory,a questionnaire was designed for senior high school students.From 6 dimensions and a total of 15 questions,we have learned about the basic situations of students,the influence of mathematical ideas,methods and techniques on physics learning,and the ideas and suggestions of students.The questionnaire designs 9 single-choice questions,5 multiple-choice questions and an open question,which conducts a comprehensive survey on the current senior high school students’ physics learning situations,learning habits,the application of mathematical tools and the problems they face.3.Conduct a questionnaire survey.In order to ensure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire,1 488 questionnaires were distributed in six schools in four cities,and 1242 questionnaires were recovered.After careful collation,1014 valid questionnaires were obtained.Through data analysis and comparison of questionnaires,we get the current situations of high school students’ learning physics,the difficulties they encounter in learning physics,the application of mathematical tools in learning physics,and the ideas and suggestions of learning physics.We summarize the problems existing in high school physics teaching and analyze the causes of the problems.4.According to the results of the survey,this paper puts forward the Countermeasures of Physics Teaching in senior high school from the following six aspects :(1)Correct understanding of mathematical and physical relations and cultivate good mathematical habits;(2)Apply mathematical tools reasonably to solve physical problems quickly;(3)Improve teachers’ quality and teaching efficiency;(4)Improve students’ practical ability and experimental inquiry ability through experiments;(5)Improve Students’ Subjective Initiative and Theoretical Deduction Ability in Learning;(6)Teach students in accordance of their aptitude.5.This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the application of mathematical methods in the Standards for Physics Courses in Senior High Schools,and lists the commonly used mathematical knowledge and methods in Physics Teaching in senior high schools.This paper designs teaching cases of mathematical knowledge infiltration and mathematical methods,chooses three most commonly used typical mathematical methods,i.e.infinitesimal method,function method and image method,and gives examples of the application of typical mathematical knowledge in physics teaching.
