“Mathematics is a natural language for learning physics”.As a tool,mathematics is widely used in the field of physics and the process in physics teaching and learning in senior high school,so we can do nothing without mathematics.In the context of new curriculum reform,with the concept of “change the subject standard and emphasize the subject penetration”,in reality the actual division based on teaching,this paper investigated and analyzed the correlation between academic performance in mathematics and physics in senior high school students.The math knowledge in high school physics learning and the cohesion degree between mathematics and physics teaching in the actual schedule,on the basis of the research on practice teaching effect of mathematics knowledge of high school physics learning.This paper is based on three years of test results in Dandong city in 2011 grade of senior high school students,using spss19.0 statistics and analysis the correlation of performance between physics learning and mathematics learning in senior high school;On the basic of mathematical physics textbooks which are using during the process of new curriculum reform in Liaoning Province,it analyzes the related knowledge between mathematical and physics as well as the teaching progress, to find out the connection problem between the two disciplines and take the effect of knowledge of mathematics trigonometric function and vector on physics learning as an example,on going practice teaching,and draw relevant conclusions.The main conclusions are as follows:There is a significant positive correlation between mathematics and physics scores in senior high school;The high school physics learning needs a lot of mathematical knowledge as its base,during the process of department teaching in high school,there is a gap between disciplines connection, and the lags are serious in some mathematical knowledge which will be used in physics learning;The results of practice teaching shows that the lags in some mathematical knowledge have a significant effect on physics learning,especially for average students.In this paper, based on the conclusions I get some inspiration,based on the current practice of department teaching,we should pay attentions to the exchange between disciplines,to make the relevant subject teachers to understand the subject structure and teaching schedule each other better,to know more about the knowledge structure of students’ in process of teaching,to find more suitable ways for students’ cognitive structure in teaching.
