| As is universally acknowledged,physics and mathematics are two closely related subjects.Making rigorous deductions and scientific verifications are two frequently utilized approaches in teaching physics during senior high school.According to the National Syllabus for college entrance examinations of physics,students are supposed to have the ability of "using mathematical knowledge to solve physical questions".As a consequence,some classical physical questions requiring mathematical methods often appear in the exams.And a specially designed curricula involving both two subjects' pedagogies also comes to the stage.However,for most Chinese senior high schools,physics and mathematics are two individual subjects tutored by different teachers.Therefore,the connections between them is unintentionally cut off.With regards to personal teaching experience,students'insufficiency in dealing with such physical questions become increasingly troublesome for their future improvement.And that's the reason why the research would be carried out.Research approaches include literature analysis,questionnaires and interviews.The analysis of context and previous teaching experience would be taken into account so as to provide supplemental assistance when making conclusions.Through the investigation of the application of mathematical knowledge in senior high school physics and text research,we find the key and difficult modules of the application of mathematical knowledge in senior high school physics.Combined with our own teaching experience and reading relevant literature,we try to summarize the key and difficult modules in the form of special topics and give teaching suggestions,so as to break through the key and difficult points of this teaching.The research includes the following aspects.To begin with,the present situation of using mathematical knowledge in dealing with physical questions would be studied from both teaching staffs' and students' perspectives both orally and in written form.Secondly,the curriculum arrangement should also be carefully examined to guarantee the cohesion of transmission from different grades.Thirdly,textbooks of physics and mathematics are served as researching materials,so that the difficult points in each chapter could be clearly monitored and make some adjustments as preparations.Last but not least,as is revealed in the result,some mathematical sections such as formulas and geometry,play significant roles in physics study.With the purpose of cracking the nuts in physical area,some systematic classification of relevant mathematical knowledge would be of great importance.And hopefully the research could offer some helps to other educators. |
