As a core concept,computing power is an important foundation in the field of "number and algebra" and even mathematics.Since the fractions are greatly different from integers in terms of meaning,reading,writing,and counting units,“the addition and subtraction of fractions" is more complicated and difficult than "the addition and subtraction of integers".In recent years of international mathematics competitions,Singaporean students have won the first place and achieved remarkable results,which has aroused the attention of countries around the world in the mathematics education and mathematics textbooks in Singapore.By analyzing and comparing the mathematics textbooks of primary schools in China and Singapore,it is conducive to discovering the advantages of mathematics education in the two countries,and reasonably drawing on the characteristics of the writing of mathematics textbooks in Singapore,which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of textbooks in China.This study takes the Chinese Education Edition in China and the Marshall Cavendish textbook in Singapore as examples.Using the method of literature,text analysising and comparison,the paper analyzes the structure system,presentation method,examples and exercises of "the addition and subtraction of fractions" and finds in many dimensions,there are similarities and differences between the two editions of textbooks.Among thel,there are more names in the column of MC editions,and the knowledge of PEP version is more connected;the two editions of textbooks all focus on the life of materials selection,and the MC version has a stronger awareness of the problem;PEP version pays more attention to the cultivation of migration ability and summarization ability,MC version places more emphasis on the use of intuitive model diagrams;the PEP version highlights the openness of the exercises,and the MC version stresses students' cooperation and interaction.In order to effectively upgrate the quality of textbooks and give full play to the functions of mathematics textbooks,the textbooks of PEP version can be improved in the following aspects:appropriately increase the names of the column,enrich the information presentation method of“the addition and subtraction of fractions”;lead the study with problems,strengthen the "the addition and subtraction of fractions" and the close integration of real life and other disciplines;strengthen the use of the intuitive model map,promote students' understanding of the algorithm of "the addition and subtraction of fractions";refine the exploration process of "the addition and subtraction of fractions" and fully integrate students' cooperative learning with independent exploration.
