Adolescence is an important stage of rapid changes in the physical and mental development of junior high school students.It is easy for junior high school students in adolescence to have different degrees of social anxiety,which directly affects their interpersonal activities,and thus affects their future physical and mental health development.In the daily teaching and life practice,the author found that students with social anxiety problems have a low self-acceptance level.By reviewing the relevant literature,the author found that the correlation between self-acceptance and social anxiety has been established in previous studies.In this paper,group counseling is applied to the intervention of social anxiety to study the effect of self-acceptance group counseling on social anxiety in junior high school students.This paper innovates the intervention mode of social anxiety in junior middle school students,enriches the theory of mental health education in the field of basic education,and trains middle school students with physical and mental health.This paper includes two parts.Study 1 is a questionnaire survey.This study used self-acceptance questionnaire(SAQ)and children's social anxiety scale(SASC)to survey seventh and eighth grade students of Hefei L Middle School.After filling out the questionnaire,students output data and use SPSS 19.0 software to process,analyze the status quo of social anxiety and self-acceptance of middle school students in Hefei L Middle School,and explore the relationship between self-acceptance and social anxiety of junior high school students.The second is experimental research.On the basis of the first study,we designed a group counseling program that accords with the actual situation of our school.Through the recruitment of school psychological associations,we selected junior high school students with social anxiety as experimental subjects,and conducted group counseling on their self-acceptance theme.The students were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 12 students in each group.Group counseling activities were conducted for eight consecutive times in the experimental group and no activities were arranged in the control group.The theme of the intervention was self-acceptance,which lasted 90 minutes every Wednesday afternoon.After the experimental intervention,the experimental group and the control group were tested with the scale.The effect of self-acceptance group psychological counseling was evaluated and analyzed by combining qualitative and quantitative methods of psychology.The results show that:1.The junior middle school students scored 1.76(SD=0.53)in the social anxiety fear negative evaluation factor,1.69(SD=0.50)in the social avoidance distress factor,and the students scored relatively higher than the norm in the social avoidance and distress factor.2.There is no significant gender difference in social anxiety among junior high school students.3.There is a significant negative correlation between self-acceptance and social anxiety in junior high school students.4.The self-acceptance,social anxiety and factor scores of the experimental group changed significantly before and after the intervention,but there was no significant change in the control group,and the effect of group counseling was obvious.Research conclusion:Social anxiety exists in junior high school students.There is a significant negative correlation between self-acceptance and social anxiety in junior high school students.Self-acceptance group psychological counseling can effectively improve the level of self-acceptance and reduce social anxiety of junior high school students.
