The Characteristics Of The Changes In Taekwondo Competition Rules From 2010 To 2017 And Their Impact On The Competition

Participants in a competition need to be able to give full play to their skills and tactics in a fair and just environment,and competition rules are the guarantee of a fair and just environment.By using the methods of literature review,mathematical statistics,video analysis and logic analysis,this paper sorts out the changes of the competition rules of Taekwondo issued by the World Taekwondo Federation from 2010 to 2017,and obtains the characteristics of the changes of the competition rules of Taekwondo,and through the application of the techniques and tactics of Taekwondo Athletes under different rules.The situation is compared to its impact on the competition.The research concludes that:(1)From 2010 to 2017,there were 47 amendments to the rules of Taekwondo competition,including referees,venues,competition time,video review,restrictions,fouls and penalties,clothing,score points and weighing,among which the most restrictive rules and foul behavior and penalties were revised,with 11 amendments.(2)Taekwondo competition rules show that:raise points,encourage multi-technical offense to improve the excitement;ignore the traditional techniques of Taekwondo,foul punishment is more stringent;shrink the venue,fast pace,increase confrontation;pay attention to Taekwondo spirit and cultural connotation;(3)Rules lead the development of technology,and the revised rules have a certain impact on the distribution of technical scores,the frequency of technical movements,the timing of technical movements,and the spatial distribution of scoring parts.
