Home-school cooperation is a key point in education reform in all countries of the world and has become the main content of modern education in China.As a participant in the cooperation between home and school,parents' participation is directly related to the implementation effect of home-school cooperation.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the status and influencing factors of parents' participation in home-school cooperation,to solve practical problems in home-school cooperation,and to promote effective parental participation.In this study,the parents of the 6th grade students of Q City SY Elementary School were selected as the research objects.The research methods were collected through literature,interview and observation methods.The grounded theory method was used to explore and analyze the status quo and influencing factors of parents' participation in home-school cooperation.The study found that parents' participation in home-school cooperation has the problems of narrow participation,limited roles,and low levels.Parental involvement is influenced by both internal and external factors.The internal factors refer to the parents' own factors,including the parents' educational concept,the parents' educational ability,the parents' personality,the ability and skills of parents and teachers to communicate,and the parents' participation experience.The educational concept is the core factor in internal factors,which affects the awareness and behavior of parental involvement.The educational ability of parents is the most important factor affecting the way and content of parental involvement.Parental personality influences the enthusiasm and participation of parents.The ability and skills of parents to communicate with teachers is the most basic and direct factor,directly affecting the effectiveness of parental involvement.The parent's participation experience is an interactive factor,which is related to whether parental participation can continue and linkage.External factors include social factors at the macro level,school factors at the meso level,and teacher and student factors at the micro level.Social factors create a cultural background and institutional environment for parents to participate in home-school cooperation.School factors are dominant,or lead or restrict parental participation.Teachers and students are interpersonal factors in which parents participate,affecting the real situation in which parents participate.On the basis of the analysis and discussion of the factors affecting parental involvement,the paper puts forward research suggestions: to give full play to the main role of parental participation and improve the ability to raise children;schools should establish a correct concept of parents and assume the responsibility of parent education;Parents' participation in policies and regulations,reform of the teacher training program and the assessment content of the teacher recruitment system,increase the content of cooperation between home and school,and establish a special cooperative research institute for home and school.
