As the basis and way to realize the modernization of education,education informatization has received full attention from the party and the state and has been written into national policies and documents for many times.The "13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of National Education" clearly stated that it is necessary to actively develop "Internet+education",and as a new form of education,online education has been written into the party's 19th National Congress report.Under the influence of the party and the state's various measures on education informatization,and the vigorous promotion of governments at all levels,online learning has become an important means to support education informatization and has achieved rapid development.With the continuous breakthrough and innovative application of new information technology,online learning,as a fusion of modern information technology and education,has received wide attention and favor with its unique advantages,thus has become a universal learning method in society.However,with its rapid development,online learning has gradually emerged some problems needed to be researched and solved,such as high turnover rate of online students,low enthusiasm for learning,low learning efficiency and especially,the effect of online learning,which has become the focus of'society.The reasons for those problems are certainly due to many aspects,while this study is mainly undertaken from the perspective of presence.Under the framework of the Community of Inquiry(COI),the paper takes how to improve online learning effect as a clue and conducts a comprehensive survey on the issue of presence in the online learning process.Through a case analysis of the online course,"Primary School Chinese Course and Teaching",the characteristics and functions of the three elements of online learning presence in the specific practical situation is found;the influence of online learning presence on both learning achievement and satisfaction is confirmed;and further the conclusion that strengthening online learning presence can help improve online learning is drawn.On the basis of the survey results,the author provides the corresponding strategies and suggestions for improving online learning presence from the two dimensions of teachers and learning platforms,in order to help improve the online learning practice environment and indirectly promote online learning effects.The main content of this study includes six chapters,and the contents of each part are as follows:The first chapter is an introduction to this study.This chapter mainly introduced and explained the research background,research significance,research ideas and methods of the selected topics.At the same time,the author made an elaborate explanation on some core concepts,and the theoretical basis in this research.By means of interpreting the basic information of this research,the researcher gradually clarified the core issues,corresponding research content and method,which laid a solid foundation for the following research.The second chapter is mainly about literature study.In this part,based on the selected topic of this research,the author chose "online learning" and "presence" as keywords,and respectively collected a large number of relevant domestic and foreign papers.On the basis of reading and collating the literature,the researcher used Citespace,a data analysis software,to analyze the searched literature.By means of information visualization,the research trends of this filed was showed clearly and directly,while the research topics of relative field were concluded and some representative papers were specifically analyzed.The third chapter introduced the survey implementation plan of this study.This chapter mainly illustrated the research process and methods.First,the study objectives and contents were clarified,including the analysis of the specific online learning platform,online course and online learners.The researcher then made an explanation of the reference and making process of the selected survey tools,and eventually stated the implementation of the survey.The fourth chapter is the analysis and results of the survey.By means of questionnaires and based on sorting and screening the collected data,the researcher used SPSS analysis software to conduct a comprehensive statistic analysis on the data.The first step is an overall descriptive analysis of the survey results,including the learner's basic information,learning behaviors,online learning presence;Second,the researcher made a difference analysis between three different online presences and learner's basic information,such as gender,age,learning experience,etc;Meanwhile,the regression analysis method was used to explore the relationship between the three online presences and learners' academic performance and learning satisfaction.Finally,based on the survey results,some main conclusions were drawn.The fifth chapter was a countermeasure study on improving online learning presence.Based on the survey results and the content of COI framework,this study centered on how to improve online learning presence,providing its reflection and suggestions in terms of two aspects:teachers and learning platforms.The sixth chapter was the overall conclusion of this research.It evaluated the insufficiency and innovation of the study,and forecast the related researches in the future.
