Practical Research On Cultivating Divergent Thinking In High School Physics Teaching

In the new round of physics curriculum reform,the concept of physics core competence has put forward,including four aspects such as physical concept,scientific thinking,scientific exploration and scientific attitude and methods.The cultivation of physical thinking ability for middle school students is an important aspect of scientific thinking cultivation through physical teaching,and the physical thinking ability mainly consists of the following three factors: physical imaging ability,physical generalization ability,association and divergent thinking ability.Therefore,it is one of the important goals of physics teaching in senior high school to cultivate the divergent thinking of students and develop their scientific thinking.Through literature investigation and theoretical analysis,the related theories and methods of divergent thinking cultivation was discussed in this study,especially the significance of open-ended problems in divergent thinking cultivation and related research progress.By using the opportunity of internship in middle school,students’ divergent thinking was fostered by using open-ended problems in physics teaching of high school in this study,and the effectiveness of open-ended problems in cultivating students’ divergent thinking and improving physics-learning performance was tested through questionnaire survey,performance analysis and teaching reflection.Besides,the problems that should be paid attention to when implementing them was summarized in the end of this article.After teaching practice for three months,the following conclusions were drawn through questionnaire survey and data analysis: in physics teaching of high school,open-ended problems are used for divergent thinking cultivation,which can not only improve the physics-learning performance of students,but also enable the divergent thinking of students to develop in fluency,flexibility,refinement,originality and expression ability of divergent results.In addition,according to the summary and reflection of teaching practice,four teaching suggestions that are used to cultivate the divergent thinking of students by using open-ended problems are put forward in physics teaching of high school:(1)in new teaching,open-ended problems with conclusion are used to cultivate the fluency of students;(2)in exercise class,open-ended problems with condition,strategy and conclusion are used to cultivate the flexibility of students;(3)in extracurricular practice,comprehensive open-ended problems are used to cultivate the refinement of students;(4)a learning environment that encourages innovation is established,so as to provide a good atmosphere for the realization of originality.
