As two independent research objects, sexual concept and social attitude have been widely studied and abundant research results have been obtained at home and abroad.Studies on influencing factors and changes based on sexual concepts or social attitudes abound. However, are there some mutual influences between them? Can sexual attitudes be used as a predictor of social attitudes? Recently,Landon Schnabel(2018)conducted a study on sexual minorities in the United States to explore whether the social attitudes of sexual minorities show a more consistent attitude. The findings suggest that sex, along with gender, race and class, should be a central and normative factor in how we conceptualize and systematize the social world.Based on the above situation, this paper focuses on the relationship between sexual concepts and social attitudes, and studies the differences in the social attitudes of groups with the same sexual concepts. In view of the basic requirements of the research on the relationship between the two, this paper adopts the 2013 Chinese general social survey(CGSS2013)embedded with independent modules of relevant contents. In the framework of the "construction theory of sex",the concept of sex is first operated into three specific problems, and STATA software is used for statistical analysis and model construction. On the basis of sorting out relevant literature, the general hypothesis is proposed and the influencing factors of the concept of sex are verified.Secondly, independent construction does not take the sexual concept as the analysis object, the social attitude influence model. In order to analyze the specific differences of social attitudes more comprehensively, this paper adopts the method of three categories(cognition, affective evaluation and behavioral tendency)and the general hypothesis of social attitudes.Thirdly,on the basis of the two models,a model is established to study the interaction between the two,and finally to explore whether sexual concepts can constitute a research indicator of social attitudes. The study found that there were significant differences in sexual attitudes among different groups.Although the three questions related to sexual attitudes were included in the social attitudes section of the CGSS2013 questionnaire, the results were quite different when the same variables were used to study social attitudes. In particular,in terms of gender, age, education level, income and other aspects, the actual results of social attitudes and sexual concepts show great differences, which can preliminarily prove the inaccuracy of the overall prediction of incorporating sexual concepts into social attitudes. On this basis, the differences of social attitudes between groups with different sexual concepts and the consistency comparison of social attitudes between groups with the same sexual concepts and other variables were analyzed, and the results showed that sexual concepts had significant influence on social attitudes. The groups with the same sexual concept had more consistent social attitudes, and the model verified that social attitudes could not be studied uniformly under the three dimensions of cognition, affective evaluation and behavioral tendency. Thus it can be seen that the prediction of social attitude by taking sexual concept as a predictor has higher accuracy.
