In accordance with the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition),People’s Education Press published and issued the first and second volumes of general Chemistry textbooks(compulsory)in June 2019.In order to accurately grasp the characteristics of the 2019 edition of chemistry textbook,this paper used literature research,methods of text analysis,comparison and statistics for the 2019 edition and 2004 edition of the ordinary high school chemistry textbook,from the macro and micro two aspects has carried on the comparative study,the results showed that: the macro level,from the 2019 edition of the people’s education press publishes the ordinary high school chemistry textbooks(compulsory),it is greatly increased the page number and the number of words;The second is to change the arrangement mode,adjust the arrangement order of chapters,and integrate some chapter contents.For example,the arrangement mode of knowledge of elements and compounds is adjusted according to "elemental--oxide--acid(base)--salt".The third is to adjust the column of the textbook and optimize the function of the column,such as adding the column of "method guidance";Fourth,the number and types of illustrations have changed,increasing the number of new discoveries,new technologies,and new applications in China.On the micro level,firstly,the content basically inherits the content of the 2014 version,but some contents are added or deleted.Second,the layout focuses on the big concept,aiming at progressive osmotic chemistry core accomplishment;Thirdly,some concepts are added,deleted and the names of individual concepts are changed.Fourth,the column of student activities was added,and 9 student activities were arranged to ensure that students must do experiments.Fifth,the content of the illustrations is novel,highlighting the characteristics of The Times,with Chinese characteristics,reflecting the contribution of Chinese chemists to the development of modern science and technology;Sixth,situational applications are added to the exercise arrangement,and more emphasis is placed on the value function of the upper position,which is no longer limited to the subject category.On the basis of comparative study,it is found that the 2019 edition of the compulsory chemistry textbook for senior high school students published by People’s Education Press has obvious characteristics: the main body of the textbook always focuses on the implementation of the core accomplishment of chemistry,highlightsthe core knowledge of chemistry,and embodies the development value of the core accomplishment of chemistry.Focusing on the big concept,the learning content and the advanced organization of teaching materials are designed reasonably,so that students can understand the chemistry subject according to "the transformation value of substances → the change value of substances in chemical reaction → the value of chemical reaction → the value of chemical reaction".Based on the connection with the learning content of junior high school,theoretical knowledge and knowledge of elements and compounds are arranged interweaving,which helps to disperse the difficult points,accords with the rules of chemistry learning,and highlights the value of chemical experiment in chemistry teaching.
