Textbooks are the main materials for students to learn and the important basis for teachers to teach.This paper selects people’s education edition junior high school textbooks "Chemistry" and the mainstream American textbook "Science Explorer" for comparative studies.From illustrations,exercises,experiments,interdisciplinary and other aspects,this paper studies the similarities and differences between Chinese and American junior middle school chemistry textbooks.Combining the advantages of the two textbooks,this paper provides some suggestions for our country’s junior high school chemistry teachers’ teaching,and through the results of teaching practice,it is proved that these suggestions are feasible.By comparing the junior high school chemistry textbooks in China and the United States from the content and presentation mode,the following conclusions are drawn: The textbooks of the two countries pay attention to the scientific and the acceptability of students in the selection of content and the arrangement of structure;in terms of exercises,the exercises of our country’s textbooks are more theoretical,and the exercises in American textbooks are more practical and open;in terms of experimental exploration,our country’s textbooks are more rigorous and pay more attention to the cultivation of students’ operation ability,while the textbooks in America pay more attention to students’ independent inquiry,comprehensive ability and innovative thinking;in terms of interdisciplinary,textbooks in both countries focus on links with other disciplines;in terms of illustrations,There are many life pictures in the textbooks of the two countries,the pictures in American textbook are clearer,and the experimental device diagrams in our country’s textbook is more guidance;in terms of language,American textbooks are more intimate.Based on the characteristics of the teaching materials in the two countries,some suggestions are put forward for teachers’ classroom teaching: Focus on interdisciplinary;enhance the connection between chemistry and life;use more multimedia,add pictures and improve the clarity of pictures;appropriately add exercises and design open exercises;add reading preview;set up more small experiments related to life;take the student as the main body,and guide students to acquire knowledge by setting questions.According to the proposed suggestions to design a new teaching scheme,and conduct classroom teaching practice research.According to the test results,it is found that the improved teaching scheme is conducive to students’ learning. |
