Parenting stress,defined as stress associated with the parenting role,proved to be influenced by personal traits,parent-child interaction,and family situations.Parents of disabled children bear great parenting stress,which will affect the parent-child relationship directly.Mental resilience level of a parent is related to one's parenting stress.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between parenting stress,mental resilience and parent-child relationship,and the mediating effect of mental resilience between parenting stress and parent-child relationship.In the study,425 parents/grandparents of disabled children were investigated by questionnaire,and the results were analyzed.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The stress of parents of disabled children is significantly higher than the general level.Among them,grandparents' stress is significantly higher than fathers and mothers,the parenting stress of the older and younger parents is significantly higher than that of the middle-aged parents;parents with higher the level of education have less parenting stress.(2)The mental resilience of parents is generally high and has significant gender differences,age differences and intergenerational differences.Mothers,older patrents have lower mental resilience level.Parents with higher level of education have higher mental resilience level.(3)The parent-child relationships in families of disabled children is at a low level.There is no significant difference in parent-child relationship between different types of parents?The parent-child relationship in 40-50 age group is significantly higher than that in other age groups.Parents have higher the level of education,have better parent-child relationships.(4)There is a significant negative correlation between parenting stress and parent-child relationships.Also,there is a significant negative correlation between parenting stress and mental resilience.and there is a significant positive correlation between mental resilience and parent-child relationships.(5)The parenting stress of parents of disabled children significantly predicts parent-child relationship.mental resilience in parenting stress and partial intermediary role between parent-child relationship.Mental resilience plays a part in mediating between parentingstress and parent-child relationships.
