A Study On The Relationship Between Parenting Concepts, Parent-child Relationship And Children's Self-esteem

The so-called child self-esteem refers to a relatively stable emotion generated by children for the relevant self-cognition,self-experience and self-evaluation,which is an important part of their mental health development.At present,there are few researches on the influence of parenting concept and parent-child relationship on children's self-esteem.In addition,the research on the self-esteem of children aged3-6 is relatively weak.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the relationship between parental rearing concept and children's self-esteem,parent-child relationship and children's self-esteem.This research uses the questionnaire survey method,carries on the investigation to 289 children's self-esteem fact,also carries on the thorough investigation and the analysis to the parents in the upbringing concept this aspect of various problems,as well as the parent-child relationship present situation.The results are as follows :(1)Children's parents generally have positive parenting concepts,and the development of parenting concepts is not balanced among the dimensions.Parenting concepts have significant differences in the four variables of children's age and gender,family monthly income and family number of children.(2)At present,the parent-child relationship in children's families is relatively harmonious on the whole,and the development of parent-child relationship is unbalanced among all dimensions.There are significant differences in the parent-child relationship in the three variables of children's age,number of children in a family and parents' occupation.(3)The overall level of children's self-esteem is high,and the development of children's self-esteem is unbalanced among all dimensions.There are great differences in the number of children in a family,the age of children,the educational level of parents,and the monthly income of the family.(4)Parenting concept and children's self-esteem,parent-child relationship and children's self-esteem have significant positive correlation.Parenting concept and parent-child relationship can predict children's self-esteem to a certain extent.In view of the above research results,this study mainly from the perspectives of family education and kindergarten education to change the concept of parenting,improve parent-child relationship and cultivate children's self-esteem put forward suggestions.
