| Parents’ involvement in early childhood education is parents’ expectation and managem--ent of their children’s education.Parents’ active involvement can promote the development of children’s physical,cognitive,emotional and social aspects,but the existing literature about parents’ involvement in early childhood education is very scarce.Therefore,based on the existing research results of primary and secondary schools at home and abroad,this study developed a questionnaire on the involvement of children’s parents in education,discussed the current situation of the involvement of children’s parents in education in China,and put forward scientific suggestions for its development.In this study,interview method and questionnaire method were used to make a self-designed questionnaire about parents’ involvement in education:Firstly,the self-designed scale of involvement in preschool parents’ education contains four dimensions,including family monitoring,parent-child communication,learning guidance and home communication.The reliability coefficients of the 38 items of the father and mother scale are 0.927 and 0.898,respectively.At the same time,the scale has good validity and can be used as an effective scale to measure the involvement in preschool parents’ education;Secondly,Through the descriptive statistical results of children’s parents’ involvement in education,we can see that the total score and the scores of all dimensions are in the middle or upper middle level,from high to low in order for parent-child communication,family monitoring,home communication and learning guidance.Thirdly,In the aspect of infant factors,there are significant differences in the involvement of fathers in the education of children of different genders,ages and whether the only child is the only child or not.There are significant differences in the involvement of mothers in the education of children of different genders,but there are no significant differences in the involvement of children of different ages and whether the only child is the only child or not.In terms of parents’ own factors,there is a significant difference in the involvement of fathers of different ages,but there is no significant difference in the involvement of fathers of different monthly income and educational level.There is a significant difference in the involvement of mothers of different ages,monthly income and educational level.In addition,the educational involvement of mothers was significantly higher than that of fathers.Based on this,this study puts forward concrete feasible suggestions from three aspects:the government,kindergarten and parents: the government should strengthen the management and investment of education: the kindergarten should strengthen the communication and guidance of education;the parents should strengthen the support and cooperation of education. |
