The Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)emphasizes that art curriculum and students' life experience should be closely related.Based on this standard,combined with the concept of green environmental protection,the thesis intends to design and conduct a unit course of fiber art,in order to improve students' awareness in environment protection as well as their practical ability and innovation ability.The thesis studies current situation of fiber art teaching at home and abroad through literature analysis method,and to understand academic situation and students' interests and knowledge demands,conducts questionnaire surveys and interviews with junior high school teachers and students,and eventually designs a unit course of fiber art.The course is conceived and designed with the goal of being close to students' daily lives and supplemented with new art forms and expression techniques to enrich the teaching content of art courses along with original learning contents such as tie-dye,collage,entanglement in junior high school art textbooks.In the context of solving real problems,it guides students to understand contents related to fiber art,and through organizing students to carry out practical activities of fiber art creation,the course makes them feel the joy of creation,and also improves their ability to solve practical problems.Finally,to achieve effective teaching,student performance and their works will be evaluated comprehensively when conducting the course,and also there will be self-reflection on courses.The practice of this course demonstrates that under the guidance of the Big Ideas,fiber art unit course in junior high school is practical.The thesis is composed of six chapters.The first chapter explains the necessity and significance of studying fiber art curriculum,including the background and objective of such study.The second chapter introduces fiber art and core concepts of Big Ideas,which provide theoretical support for the design of fiber art curriculum.The third chapter introduces current art curriculum standards in China,and analyzes art textbooks in junior high school.The fourth chapter centers on the development and design of fiber art curriculum through questionnaire survey of middle school students and interviews with teachers,based on teachers and students' interest in fiber art,cognitive status,etc.The fifth chapter intends to design and conduct a unit course of Fiber Art into Life to arouse students' attention and reflection on fiber art.The sixth chapter,combining with practice of fiber art course,puts forward prospects of fiber art curriculum in junior high school.
