Redesign Of The English Version Of Colleges And Universities Web Interface Based On User Experience

With the completion of the "China Education and Research Computer Network(CERNET)Demonstration Project" in 1995,the university began to pay attention to the construction of the school's web page by providing advanced Internet services to teachers and students in China's colleges and universities.The university web page is an important platform to show the characteristics of running a school,the management of daily life and the exchange of resource information,and an important window to strengthen international exchange.The process of internationalization of university education is accelerating,international exchanges and cooperation between colleges and universities are becoming more and more frequent,and the pages of foreign languages play an important role.Throughout the English web interface design of colleges and universities in China,we can see that the degree of Chinese and English web page design is uneven,some of the English-language web design of colleges and universities and the development of the times,pay attention to the availability of web design and school style,so as to achieve the functionality of the web page and artistic promotion;A simple list of resource information,or the web interface design is too complex and difficult to understand and so on.All cause the user to browse difficult,search efficiency and results are not proportional.In the era of information explosion,how to stand out on many university pages to attract more outstanding international scholars,how to expand the international influence and visibility of colleges and universities,how to let foreign students,visitors access the most valuable information in the shortest time,are all urgent problems we need to solve.The purpose of university web re-design is not only to update the surface,but to be based on the innovative design under the user experience,not to make a good impression,but to let users browse the web in the most comfortable way,thus impressing visitors."Humanized" university web design is the development trend of society,and the innovative design of English web page in colleges and universities is an important force to expand the international influence.Excellent university web interface is not limited to visual impact,a good web interface design,must involve from user analysis,frame customization,information design to the final visual design of all aspects,from inside to outside,from deep to shallow,from the inside to the surface of the design.This paper takes the Chinese-English web interface of well-known universities at home and abroad as the research object,based on the "user experience principle" and combining the common characteristics of the international audience,re-designs the English web interface of our university.Through in-depth study and analysis of the user experience in the design of the web interface in the 5 levels of application to develop a reasonable goal orientation,web framework,information level and visual presentation.Aim to better show the university's characteristics,Increase user likeness,combine art with technology.
