The Application Of Probabilistic Thinking In Wheelchair Curling Techniques And Tactics And Actual Combat

Wheelchair curling became a formal event in Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games.This paralympic event has became known to Chinese over the past 12 years' development in China,especially the winnings of the first gold medal in Pyeongchang2018 Paralympic Winter Games and the gold medal in 2019 world wheelchair curling championship.In the past years,Chinese wheelchair curling has navigated the journey with an upward tendency despite the impractical tactics affected by healthy curling in the infancy and initial stage of development.Due to the differences of equipment and regulations between wheelchair curling and healthy curling,many uncertainties should be considered in real games.With probabilistic thinking,from the perspective of practice,the study aims to analyze the differences of tactical thinking and tactical choices between wheelchair curling and healthy curling,enrich practical curling theories,improve tactical application and provide theoretical support for wheelchair curling team to achieve outstanding results in Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.The study analyzes the possible conditions from the perspective of theory and practice,with the hope that players could consider all factors associated with curling deliveries and optimize choices in order to increase successful rates in games.The paper adopts methods such as literature review,expert interviews,observation,comparative analysis,data analysis and case analysis etc.The study illustrates and analyzes technique and tactics of Chinese team's main opponents.The period of analyzed important international games is from the establishment of Chinese Wheelchair Curling Team in 2007,but over the past three years in particular.The paper analyzes the importance and practical applicability of probabilistic thinking in real games of wheelchair curling.The study explores means to increase successful rates of delivering rocks for Chinese Wheelchair Curling Team and propose solutions to problems.Main conclusions:1.The use of probabilistic thinking in technique,tactics and real games ofwheelchair curling is conducive to improving players' understandings and cognition of the event and establishing correct tactical thinking and it would be instructive to make reasonable and viable tactical decisions.2.As for technique,the strength control of Chinese wheelchair Curling Team is still a shortcoming and should be improved.3.Mental anti-interference ability during games and self-regulation ability under pressure of wheelchair players should be enhanced.
