With the development of the society and the attention of the country,the development of children with disabilities has received better social security.However,parents,as an important supportive force for children with disabilities,face tremendous physical and mental pressure,and their social support is weak.The strength of individual parents is limited.Grouping parents with similar issues and needs,and using the advantages of group work can improve social support for them.Through analysis of the formal support system and informal support system of parents of disabled children,it is found that the social support of parents of disabled children mainly comes from spouses,the group support utilization is low,and the formal support is insufficient.Facing the needs of psychological support,disability cognition and resource acquisition.Under the guidance of social support theories,a support group for parents of disabled children along the way was formed.The group is divided into four stages: familiarity with team members,mutual assistance within the group,exploration of external support,and prospects for future support.It attempts to promote the knowledge of disability and enhance psychological support from the aspects of information support,emotional support,and peer support.To master more available resources,so as to improve its social support.The evaluation found that the support group effectively relieved the pressure of the group members,and the perceived and actual social support of the group members increased.The sample sampling in this study lacked sufficient representativeness and no control group was set,which may have an impact on the research results.On the basis of reflecting on the entire research process,suggestions are made from two aspects: improving the group and improving the social support level of parents of children with disabilities: the establishment of parallel groups;the comprehensive use of multiple working methods to enhance the continuity of services;the collaborative participation of social support subjects Improve the external environment;attach importance to the strength of the parent and peer group;and improve the relevant policy support system.
